Course Overview:

Eastern World Studies is typically a seventh-grader's first exposure to Social Studies. It involves first raising awareness of institutions and customs in every part of the world, consideration of the land and people on the opposite side of the world, the differences that cause divisions and finally similarities that unite us.

They will be required to think through the problems that the world faces and encouraged to consider the multitude of perspectives hosted by the corners of Earth on which we focus.  In an ever more globalized community, this habit of asking "why?" empowers a generation of critical thinkers to dissect problems and create their own solutions.
